Gophers Men's Basketball Set to Host Pair of Prospects Thursday

Recruiting season is in full swing for the University of Minnesota men's basketball team. With the early signing period less than two months away, the Gophers are set to host a pair of prospects on Thursday.

In a press conference via zoom, head coach Ben Johnson told the media, "We are really excited to host these two young men and give them a chance to see what the University of Minnesota is all about. We know they are both talented players, and we think they would be great additions to our program."

The two prospects who will be visiting are:

- 2024 four-star forward Braeden Carrington from Archbishop Stepinac High School in White Plains, New York. - 2023 four-star guard Jaden Bradley from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Carrington is a 6-foot-7, 210-pound forward who is ranked No. 33 in the 247Sports Composite rankings for the 2024 class. He is a versatile player who can score inside and out and is also a good rebounder and defender.

Bradley is a 6-foot-3, 180-pound guard who is ranked No. 11 in the 247Sports Composite rankings for the 2023 class. He is a dynamic scorer who can create his own shot and is also a good passer and defender. The Gophers are hoping to add both Carrington and Bradley to their 2023 recruiting class. They are both talented players who would help Minnesota compete for a Big Ten championship.

The Gophers are scheduled to host Carrington and Bradley on Thursday, October 27th. They will take the prospects on a tour of the campus and the facilities, and they will also meet with the coaching staff.

The Gophers are one of many schools that are interested in Carrington and Bradley. Both players have a number of other offers, so the Gophers will need to put their best foot forward in order to land them.
