Watch Westlake vs. Prosper on NFHS: Texas, Texas A&M recruits star in UIL football clash
Unbeaten Westlake and Prosper square off in a battle of Texas UIL football powers.
Two of the top high school football teams in Texas will square off on Friday night, as Westlake travels to Prosper for a battle of unbeatens.
Westlake is the defending Class 6A Division I state champion, while Prosper is coming off a semifinal appearance in the same division.
Both teams are expected to send multiple players to major college programs, including Texas and Texas A&M.
Here are five things to watch for in the Westlake vs. Prosper game:
- The quarterback matchup. Westlake's Cade Klubnik is a five-star recruit committed to Clemson, while Prosper's Jalen Milroe is a four-star recruit committed to Alabama.
- The running back matchup. Westlake's Will Stone is a three-star recruit committed to Texas, while Prosper's Kayvion Sibley is a three-star recruit uncommitted.
- The wide receiver matchup. Westlake's Ja'Tavion Sanders is a four-star recruit committed to Texas A&M, while Prosper's Chris Marshall is a three-star recruit committed to SMU.
- The defensive line matchup. Westlake's Wyatt Steiger is a five-star recruit committed to Texas A&M, while Prosper's Cole Hutson is a four-star recruit committed to Texas.
- The overall team speed. Both Westlake and Prosper are known for their speed, which could make for a high-scoring game.
